aLL Design is fortunate to have attracted some of the brightest minds in architecture and design. Our varied strengths are reflected in the range of projects we produce.
Interiors vary enormously and offer an opportunity to create atmosphere and identity. Exterior architecture can generate a sense of arrival, interior design affects how people feel about a space – is it a place to study, like a library? Is it an office environment that hopes to inspire people and allow them to focus? If a bar or restaurant, what does a proprietor want for their customers?
Our interior design work includes sensitively restored and refurbished heritage buildings like Victoria House and TESTBED – equally valuable Victorian buildings though polar-opposites in style and function.
We have also used colour and form fearlessly – playing with sculptural surface textures, as with Neuron Pod’s interior; the lighting and wall colour within a photographer’s studio, form and function for Edge of Arabia art gallery and our ‘Ugly to Lovely’ house extension that combines the industrial with ‘cosy,’ home-comfort.
