Founder/Board Director

Founding director, Marcos established aLL Design in 2011 with the late Prof Will Alsop. Marcos has been pivotal in leading the Practice, setting direction and growing both UK domestic and International offices.

As a chartered architect with a passion for design, Marcos uses his collective skills to identify and nurture talent, bringing out the best in people, which in turn helps produce work with a well thought through approach to art and design, balancing creativity and commerciality.

Highly skilled in client liaison and managing projects, Marcos has a broad range of experience which includes the Transport, Residential, Commercial, Educational, Hospitality, Mixed Use, sustainability and Regeneration sectors.

As well as nurturing talent internally, Marcos has been instrumental in developing close links between aLL Design and a number of universities including Greenwich where he ran the University’s Unit 1n Architecture course for two years, East London where Marcos mentored students and the London School of Architecture. Marcos is also a visiting Lecturer at the YAC in Bologna and Marcos is often invited to judge for architectural competitions such as the World Architecture Forum (WAF) and most recently the Chelyabinsk 2020 Airport, Conference Centre and Park competition

Marcos enjoys presenting Keynote speeches on transformative design which follows the practices aim of “making life better” and pushing forward the philosophy of “Knock Nothing Down”. He is particularly proud to have recently delivered the closing Keynote speech in front of 1000 people at the 2019 National Architecture Conference in Melbourne, Australia. Marcos has a keen interest in gadgetry and home automation.
