Professor Will Alsop
We’re proud to continue the incredible legacy of our co-founder, the late Professor Will Alsop.
Will was one of architecture’s true creative thinkers, who loved to share his ideas about how to make life better with students and colleagues. Our name, aLL Design, reflects his all-encompassing ethos for designing anything, from a teaspoon to a city. And, as he was, we’re committed to design that knocks nothing down, design that enhances community and cultural identity.
Will’s sculptural approach to the design process also lives on in the way we work. Kickstarting each project as he did – with a floor-to-ceiling blank canvas in our studio – we make collaborative, layered paintings that free our minds from preconceptions of what a project should be, to embrace instead what it could be.
